Campaign Story

Our names are Matt and Catherine, and we have been married for 9 years. When we were first married our hopes for children were high – nearly every month we wondered if this was the time. Eight and a half years without any pregnancies passed. In January 2024 we learned that we would not be able to naturally conceive children of our own due to infertility. We had to surrender a lifetime of hopes and dreams of the biological children that we thought would be ours. As we began to process our deep grief, we came to realize even more fully than before that a life lived without children is unthinkable to us.

Our diagnosis led us to consider many different options, but we ultimately decided to pursue embryo adoption as a way to experience many of the tender, life changing moments that happen in pregnancy and childbirth. We also see embryo adoption as a glorious picture of the gospel. As God chose us and loved us before we were born, so we will choose and love our children before they are fully formed. We are thrilled and humbled that God seems to be opening doors for us to have a family, as it has always been very important to us to leave a legacy and influence the next generation for God.
